This hat is a useful addition if you are walking or trekking through insect-infested areas and is an additional protection against the sun. If you are likely to be in a windy place, for example in an open truck or on a boat, it might be an idea to have the size that fits quite snugly or it will blow off.
Hats do not become me, so I felt I looked like a female Wurzel Gummidge but my friends with nicer heads loved it.
It squashes into a tiny space and comes up roses every time, unlike some other hats I’ve tried over the years. It also doesn’t feel sweaty when you are wearing it; the cotton fabric has air holes as well. I chucked it in the wash at 30 degrees when I got home and it dried quickly.
