Product Review
A summer walking jacket that is smart enough to double up as casual outerwear in the evening is what I was after. I just don’t have room to take an enormous range of clothes with me when I travel. I wore this jacket on the plane, in the bush and in the bar later.
Safari-style, it has nice, discreet feminine touches: soft pink two-tone ribbon inside the neck and a pink ribboned zip on the left breast pocket. Epaulettes, adjustable cuffs and a split seam at the rear are other nice design features. But it’s not just a good-looking jacket. It’s practical too with reinforced elbow patches and enough pockets to keep even the biggest hoarder happy: two inside zipped, two button breast pockets and two at waist level with an extra small one for coins, perhaps.
The jacket is shower proof and the manufacturer claims it offers protection from the sun.
I felt very comfortable wearing this jacket. My only concern was how practical the beige colour I chose would be. As it is, the jacket washes well and does not need to be pressed or ironed; just drip-dry on a hanger. I had to spot clean it a couple of times on a recent trip and this was no problem either.
