Delicate Arch is a spectacular freestanding natural Arch, over 50 feet tall, situated in Arches National park, near Moab, Utah.
Park in the Wolfe car park and prepare for a fairly strenuous uphill walk of just over a mile, to view it. Part of the appeal of this walk, mainly over slick rock, is that the arch is hidden from view until you get to the top. After a fairly tough climb, you round a corner and there it is. The trail is completely unspoiled; you easily find your way by using the small piles of rocks that have been created to mark the path.
The area is unfenced and there are sheer drops on either side some of the way and at the top. But the view is superb and well worth the effort.
